MAN Do I miss the Navy!!!!!

As the saying goes, you never know what you have until it's gone. Although I don't feel that I did nearly as much as I could have done while I was in the Navy, the things that I DID do and the things that I accomplished were so amazing and cool. Looking back at it with such fond memories is always a much invited step outside of the current realities. The friends that were made were awesome, even though I don't remember so many names of the people that I dealt with on a daily basis, but some stand out, good and bad. And it ALL makes each of us who we are in future years. The pride is never ending!
It's been 23 years since I separated after 10 years in. And it STILL seems like yesterday. I got involved heavily into music after going off active duty, and some of the music I wrote and recorded is in the player on my page. I hope whoever listens will like it, and I hope you'll pass it around as well. Take a listen to "On Sacred Ground". It was written in 2006 with the conflict at hand building overseas and I'm sure that some of our Heroes (because ALL of them are heroes) would enjoy blasting it for everyone over there.
I hope to meet some old and new friends here, and I hope that everyone is healthy and happy,

In the years after separating from the Navy, I got heavily into playing music and performing in live bands for about 12 years. After that 12 years, I missed the music and began writing some of my own songs. They were all written in 2006 and one is about the current situation overseas. I would enjoy it if people would check out the song titled "On Sacred Ground" on my page and let me know what they think about it. I wasn't working with any other musicians at the time, so I wrote, recorded, mixed… Continue

GI Bill Education Assistance???

Posted on September 2, 2009 at 3:21pm 3 Comments

I've been searching for some months now for information about whether the benefits are still available if we've been out of the service for 20 plus years. There is tons of info on the bill and everything that I have found on the Government pages about it has begun talking about the old GI Bill, and without hesitation of giving any info on it, turns it into information about the Montgomery Bill. Even if it's supposed to be about the old GI Bill. VERY Confusing to say the least.
