No, I never lived there. Just spent a lot of time there visiting friends, going to restaurants and baseball, basketball, football and hockey games there. My son went to college there in north Philadelphia. I have been to the Philadelphia Navy Yard and the waterfront attractions including the two naval vessels that are there.

Sorry I did not reply sooner, but I just got back in the USA and did not have any internet.

Yes, I have spent a lot of time in Philly and gone to a lot of nice Italian restaurants And baseball and football games.

Thanks for the reply. so you spent some time on Whidbey Is. I have been there but not while in the Navy. I prefer the drier more laid back life of eastern Washington. I'm glad you joined navyvets. visit frequently to check on your fellow sailors and keep posting even if it's just a comment

Thanks, lived here all my life and spent a lot of time in Philadelphia myself. I was discharged from the Philadelpnia Navy Yard in August of 1969. I get to two Philadelphia Eagles games a year.
