The mission of the USS John F Kennedy Project is to preserve and interpret their principal artifact, the super carrier USS John F Kennedy in order to educate and entertain the public while serving as a constant reminder to future generations of the sacrifices of those who have gone before. The carrier will be the principal element of a self-sufficient Heritage and Technology Park in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island.  Read more at the USS John F Kennedy Project web site.

Ships company 1974 - 76. Navigation Division.  As much as I liked the cruises, when I got out in 1977 I promised I would not do that again.  Now I wish I had just one more chance.  After the Kennedy I served several months in NAS Jax then was assigned to the USS Independence for one cruise.
