I signed on to the Ponce in October 1975 in Rotterdam, and signed off in December of 1976.  I completed the North Atlantic Cruise 1975, and then the Med Cruise in 1976.  We were extended for about 3 extra months to be on site to evacuate Lebanon.  We were scheduled to be part of the NY Bicentennial Display for the 4th of July down the Hudson River.  Instead we escorted Refugees to Naples.
