I was on the USS Chevalier DD 805 in July of 1971. If I remember correctly, we departed San Diego for what would be The Chevalier's last West Pac cruise in August of that year.  We arrived on the Vietnam gun line sometime in September.  If anybody remembers anything about this last cruise, please add it on here.
