I have been searching for years for other Choir members. I find it hard to believe our fellow choir members have not gotten together en masse. . I was in the Choir May-August 1965. Good times. I was Spider Petty Officer and also Splash Gordon at San Diego NTC. We went through the gas chamber many times to mess with the regular recruits. Many off base gigs with of course parade liberty. Boy Scout and VFW conventions at the El Cortez Hotel just down the hill from the Naval Hospital, Baseball games, Marine Recruit Depot and NTC Graduations and of course every Sunday morning for Mass and protestant services. What a time for a barely 17 year old from rural Washington state. I went on to be a Hospital Corpsman and did a 13 month Combat tour with the 2nd Battalion 3rd Marines in northern I corps Vietnam. 32 combat operations 187 firefights and 2 Purple Hearts. Times I would not trade. The honor of my life is being married to my wonderful wife for 40+years and serving with the Fleet Marine Force. I would love to sing again with you all. Navy hymn was my favorite. I would enjoy hearing the later recording on the choir. Please send it to me. Semper Fi Shipmates,Doc

Hey Guys, Great to see the BJC represented! I was in during the spring of '71. DJ Krider was the Company Commander at the time. One of the best memories I have is singing the Navy Hymn each night with the D&B Corp answering it with Taps from the other end of the barracks.

I have copied the album of the choir to file and if you send me an e-mail I can send it to you in about 3 sets so as not to block e-mails or Maybe I can post it here. I'll try a test first.
