I started out at the Occupational Health Service over by the shipyard and eventually was moved to the main clinic outside the Makalapa gate. I was there from 77 to 80. I still remember two of the bar tenders from the EM Club, Felix and Rudy, now there was a pair.

Some of the medical types that I worked with were LT Bore/LCDR Sitton - same person she married a line officer and hopefully lived happily ever after. Terry Joyce who was in the pharmacy, we met up again in Ct, she is the only one who ever got away with calling me Lindsedy after I made Chief. Jim Boyd who worked in x-ray, HMCM Lowery who recruited me out of sickcall to be LPO of the Personnel Office, when I transfered that was the beginning of the PSD concept. There were others - Carole Deitrich, Ron Davis, Lt Schneider, Lcdr Hughes or yeah who could forget "Duckie" aka Dick Gliebe.

Was stationed at the Navy Regional Finance Office from Feb. 1951 to April 1952.

My first assignment after Boot Camp and DK school.  Came back thru Pearl after 9 months on NS Kwajalein. Good duty at Pearl.

I have heard from several shipmates that the base has changed and the highways have more lanes and many of our old stamping ground are gone.

I was stationed in Pearl from Nov 66 to Nov 68 on the USS Greenlet ASR-10 in the deck division and then as a Signalman 3rd.  Great memories.  Went back frequently as a Reserve Intel officer in the late 90's and 2000-2002 at Makalapa.

I spent the last 10 years of my Navy career here, from 1992-2002. They were the best! Then I retired.

Was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii from January 1969 until August 1969 on board the U.S.S. Greenlet, ASR-10. Enjoyed the time that I was in Hawaii. Traveled to several of the Hawaiian islands and several cities on Oahu. Left in Aug. to go to Viet Nam and a West Pac Cruise.
