You're right, Julie. NATTC was north of Memphis and just east of Millington.

I went to boot camp in Orlando in May of 74 and then to NATTC Memphis for AT "A" School the fall and winter of 74.  I remember the roach coaches, the pizza delivery and the EM club where you could drink all night for 5 bucks.  I remember the locals were not very friendly we had sailors getting mugged by local "long hairs" walking just off base.  I remember the hookers in the EM club at night it was a regular gig for a few of them I guess they had some sort of working arrangement with the Navy Exchange people.  I don't know why but there was an instructor at NATTC that made a big impression on me and I still remember his name to this day.  Great instructor.  That was SSGT  Sadler, USMC.  He'd been awarded the Navy Cross during the Vietnam conflict a few years earlier.  Does anyone remember Staff Sgt Sadler?

Wasn't the NATTC actually in Millington, TN? Or was it formally in Memphis?

Left  Boot Camp Company 308 in July of 1969 in San Diego got Stationed at NATTC Millington Tenn. right out of boot camp attended  AFUN P School for a couple of months. Then got stationed at NAAS Fallon Nevada. Worked at an Electronic Warfare Range about 50 miles from base. Had some great duty and was very lucky I was stationed in the states the entire time I was in the Navy.

Was at NATTC Millington twice, first right out of boot camp in 68 for AFun "P", AM "A" and AT "A" school then back again in 71 for AVI "B" school.

Attended AD school in the summer of 1956 before shipping out to NAF Naples. Eventually received an ADR rate because I never worked on any turbines. Does anyone have photos of the F4U Corsairs at NATTC Millington we used to troubleshoot discrepancies?

Stationed at NATTC from Sep 80 to Oct 81.  Attended BE&E school and AQ "A" School.  Way too much partying in Memphis - but the whole experience was a blast!

Left Basic Training from Great Lakes, IL in January of 1966 and attended NATTC Memphis, (Millington, TN) through July 16, 1966.  I received orders to VA-125 at NAS Lemoore, California and in October was transferred via Anchorage, Alaska, Tachikawa, Japan, Okinawa,  & Clark Air Base to Subic Bay, PI.  I was waiting for my squadron VA-163 at Subic when USS Oriskany had fire in hangar bay on Oct. 26, 1966.
