I was in and out of Subic Bay & Cubi Pt numerous times while riding the USS Midway as part of the CVW-5 and then stationed at the Jet Shop from 90 until they closed the base. Hated to see it close.

Greetings! I'm just popping in to say hello. I was stationed at AIMD Jet Shop from 1985-1987. I loved this tour of duty! Too bad the PI isn't turned around, it could be a most wonderful vacation get away like the Bahama's, Hawaii, etc. I'd love to show my children around the PI, such rich history and scenery. AIMD Jet Shop was a wonderful command, a lively bunch for sure.

When I came aboard the command I was a RM3 and later made RM2 while there. Hope to hear from some of the guys I was stationed with there.

I saw this place many times when I was on WestPac aboard the USS MOUNT VERNON LSD-39, USS MISSOURI BB-63. Also I had to go here on a detail to send of the USS CARL VINSON 1983.
