I'm from Mobile, lived all over USA during my Healthcare Admin career. I served in Nam in 1968 with 2/4, 3Rd MARDIV. Spent most of my "career" as a DOC with the Marines, fine group of men.

From Cullman, Al. Joined the Navy in August 1985 and served for 21 years, retiring in August 2006. Now living in Roanoke, VA but still visit my family in Cullman when I can.

From Jacksonville, AL Nice to see a Alabama Navy group, hope to see alot more shipmates on this site. Was aboard several ships during
my time, 56-76. Enjoyed every minute of it..

Paul. I was there on a small minesweeper back then. MIN-RON 10 out of Charleston, S C. Went to Submarines from there.

Served aboard the USS Rigel AF58 from 1959 to 1961
Recommissioned USS Mazama in 1961
Took part in the Cuban Blockade in October 1962,
Served as BM3 in the 2nd Division.
Seperated from the Service April 1963

Im a Former BM2 from Russellville,Al. I served in the navy from 1970 to 1974. I met so many great people that were from Al. Ill not be a stranger here because I find myself missing salt talk now that Im getting old.

I've been a member for almost 3 yrs now and never even thought of starting an Alabama Group. I believe I was like 145 to join, now there is over a thousand. I have really enjoyed this sight have made some great friends. Doug & his Daddy Bill have done a great job here and are johny-on-the-spot with info and help. Welcome Aboard Ya'll.
