Hey Brother Mike...Just thought I would stop in and holler at Y'all...hope this finds y'all well and still kickin'...calm seas and fair winds my Friend...
Never been to Mason but spent time in Austin. I went on a det to Bergstrom AFB for a week in 1989. Got some excellent ribs at a BBQ place named the Ironworks and got to spend a day in Fredericksburg.
Damn, it's good to here from you. Where you living at? I'm working in Nashville and living in Columbia, TN. I pulled out the old cruisebook last week and had a few laughs looking at the V-1 photos. The pic of REP-8 on the website is a little fuzzy but I recognize you and big Lee. Is that Mullis kneeling in front of you? Crockett between you and Lee? I have a few pictures from those days that I will upload on this webpage. You were right about me coming back to the ship. I went back in the Navy in December 73 and the A-4 squadron I was in (VA-204) CQ'ed on Lexington. What a hoot! Been back to Pensacola frequently over the last 10 years for vacations. Lot of memories. Keep in touch.
