TAD most of my enlistment was drafted in service "needs of manpower dictates" to service aboard the Ranger headed for duty in Haiphong Harbor...Became extremely depressed at the end of the war...probably from not speaking about losses we had had during the cruise, some of which were up close and personal. Dealing with PTSD now 42 years afterward. If any of my shipmates read this I wish you well, it was an honor serving with you. We sailed with less than half the normal complement, yet the job got done. I have the greatest respect for the pilots, at the end we were flying 8 hours for the Navy and then relaunching 10-12 hours for the Marines.
