North Carolina maybe a little better then California but not by much, one good thing about here is that my Navy retirement pay is tax free from the state so I don't pay any state tax and also since I work for the state so when I retire from the state it's tax free also. But the cost of living has gone up a lot since I moved here 15 yrs ago and we haven't gotten a raise in 4 yrs
Hey Robert I saw you comment here and saw that you live in Novato, I grew up in Novato and graduated from Novato High School in 71 and enlisted was a Seabee from then until 1997 when I retired and now live in North Carolina. Still have family there and in Petaluma
