Yes I was. The good part was that once pulled into Subic, the next day I met my wife and first daughter at the Manila airport and I went on leave down south in PI and met Rnager on the pieer in North Island."

welcom john: i see you are from Bremerton wash that was my last duty station i was on the uss holland in the yards my yungest was born at the hosptial at the yard. i like it up there and did not want to leave i got transfer to support activity mare island and retired.as sk-1
