Hello Ron. I was never stationed on the USS Hunley, but we used to tie up to her at the end of Pier Charley at NWS-Charleston (actually, Goose Creek). I was aboard the USS Ulysses S. Grant (SSBN 631). Of course, we had to cross Hunley's quarter deck to get from the boat to the pier. I noticed that it is your birthday. Happy Birthday! Hello! Ron, Congrats on the retirement. I too was stationed on the Hunley but many years before you. I was a Torpedoman Missle Handler while she was in Charleston from 68-70 and crossed to Guam with her then caught the Proteus(AS-19) back to Vallejo,Ca. for drydocking.
