"From March 'till May 1972 I was there in Co. 071. I will never forget the GRINDER...! John Glen spoke at the graduating ceramonies in May. Got to see one of the Apollo missions lift off."
"I was a BT on the USS Worden DLG 18 in Feb. 1973. During that month we served as the flagship for Radm. McCauley. I remember the North Vietnamese officials came aboard to negotiate the mine clearing ops."
A couple of hints for ya - when I first came in here I did not pay attention to the right side of the screen. You click on the commands tab - it will list commands by which ones have the most activity - you can search by name and if it not here you can request it to be added. Last time I heard from Doug about commands he was like 65 pending and and three of those are mine. Veterans tab will show who is the newest, but you can search by name. I went and looked at over 6000 vets and over 1000 commands and I would recommend going thru the commands - they have some unconventional commands listed. Like Shellback, First Class Mess, Mess Decks etc.
