had a friend ET3 Paul Oberdorf and his wife Veronica went to Rota 3 yrs ago and nothing was the same as when I was there, sailors are not allowed to live in Rota now and he said the place we use to live was now a parking lot...after they returned about a year later Paul became ill and died and they preformed test and found out he died from the Mad Cow disease...I would love to go back, I sure enjoyed my tour of duty their..Rota is now a tourist city..
I know I probably knew you from NAVCOMMSTA Rota, wasn't very few that I didn't know..I still keep in touch with several from that time frame...I would love to have a reunion and see as many as possible.
