USS Illusive (AM-448/MSO-448) was an Aggressive-class minesweeper acquired by the U.S. Navy for the task of removing mines that had been placed in the water to prevent the safe passage of ships.

    I was stationed aboard the USS Illusive from 1983 until 1986 I did a North Atlantic cruise on the way home to Charleston we were ordered to the coast of Grenada to assist and safe guard the coast. While I was stationed on the USS Illusive I was the special operations helmsman
