I graduated A school at NATTC Memphis, TN in July 1966 as an 'AT' and received orders to VA-125 at Lemoore for A4-E familiarization school. Left Lemoore October 18, 1966 for Tachikawa, Japan enroute to VA-163 which was out in the Gulf of Tonkin.

AO "A" school at Jacksonville Fl. (last class).
Station at NAS Lemoore in 1974 -1977. Squadron VA-153.
Did two WestPacs and one Med cruise.
Sailed on the USS Oriskany and the USS FDR.
I wish I would have stayed in.
I first arrived and was in VA-125 for A4 training. I had orders to VA-146, but was changed to VA-94. I spent a lot of time deployed either on workups or shipboard. During that time it was always up in the air as to how long we would be on WesPac. I know it was hot, I was hardly there in winter.
My first duty station was there in 1961 with the VA-163 Saints.
Thanks for the Valley Fever. LOL
