  • Crossed in 1979 on Archerfish(SSN678). Third time I crossed but the first one that was not classified. We were steaming to the North Pole

  • We crossed the Arctic Circle on the USS Independence CV62 on March 14, 1984 @ 008deg 24.5'. I was with VS28 at the time and we were doing a massive NATO exercise. I was working nights in QA and working up on the roof at the time. Talk about cold.
