  • I retired in 1993.  Recruited in Green Bay and Appleton.  Recruiting had to rank near the top of all the jobs I disliked the most.  The longer time passes the more I realize how special my time in the service was.  Duty stations:  Balboa Naval hospital, MCRD San Diego, UDT21, NAS North Island, Naval Station San Diego, Recruiting Command Milwaukee.

  • Graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1955 and joined the Navy.  Born in

Waukesha in 1937.  Spent over two years at the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Madison October 72 to June 75

  • ACU-1 vet (70-78), just moved to Sparta area this month.

  • I currently live in Minnesota, but I enlisted in my home town of Superior Wisconsin in July 1962.

    :o)

  • Was stationed on the USS Preble DLG-15 (65-66).  Wiskey station in the Tonkin Gulf.

  • Thank you to all who joined this command. I have been out of sorts for the past week as I have had shoulder surgery. It looks probable that the other one will have to be operated on as well. Please keep me in your prayers.
  • William, Thanks for joining. When I saw a bunch of other states had commands I just knew Wisconsin needed one. After all, I think there was more than just me at the MEPS station in Milwaukee.
  • Hey Scott, thanks for the invite, good thinkin. :) I am down by Madison. Bill
