My first ship, Sept. 1970 to Mar. 1974. The crew was the greatest and over all it was the best command of my career.

USS Truxtun (CGN 35)
Tried your web address some how I think DLGC/CGN35 is no right!
We had a Tommy T coin recently made. We are about to mail them out to those that ordered. If you go to the USS Truxtun DLGC/CGN-35 face book page, you can see the coin. We might do another order if we can get more interest in the coin.

Last picture of her whole.
Served on board from 1974 - 1976. Admin.
I did two tours on Truxtun as the radiation health tech. 80-82 as a HM1 and 85-88 as HMC. I got my Surface Warfare quals in April of 88.She was a beautiful ship, got to see a lot of places that most people only dream about, like the island kingdom of Tonga. It broke my heart when I discovered that she was taken apart. My two tours of duty on her comprised almost 25% of my career.
