  • I was station at NASIB with HC-5 back in 1971 was TAD to Base at the Hydraulics Shop. Was there when they re-commission us from HC-5 to HSL-31 got out in 1973. It was a great place. Sorry to see it has been decommission to an outlying Field. Someday I will go back and see what is left there.
    • Thanks for your service. Yes, I was stationed at bases that are long gone.
  • Looking for shipmates from  1967 thur 1969, In particular those on the Sacramento DET to Viet Nam.

  • Some day would like to go back and see NASIB and NASNorth Island. Understand IB is shutdown. Would like to get on base and visit hanger/flight line.

  • HC-3 FRAC 1987 I MISS THOSE FORTY SIXES.
  • I've met a CPO from HC-6 at our Legion post. His name is Don Livingston. He's presently our post commander.
  • I was in HC-3 only briefly since it was the H-46 RAG at the time. That would have been in late '83. Served my 46 sea tour at HC-6 in Norfolk.
  • Welcome aboard Commander Anderson. I was in the squadron in '71-'74. Were there any detachments still going out when you were in?
  • I enjoyed the times I spent on base and onboard the ships I was on det with. Got to see alot of places I'd only seen on TV and in books. I enjoyed serving with all my shipmates.
