    Served from 1964 to 1968. Spent 1 year in Portsmouth Va. Rest of my time was on board U.S.S. Yellowstone AD27 out of Mayport Fla.
    Made 1 Operation Springboard and 1 Med. cruise.

    Flew out of Pittsburgh to Great Lakes in October of 72. Walked off the brow of the KAUFFMAN in Jan 99. Had so much fun someone asked me to write a book about it. So I did.

    I was in from June '70 to December '79. Stationed on both coasts, Rota, and 2 WESPACs. Took a trip to the Carribian to try to capture a Russian sub that had run aground. It got away. I took a picture of a communist tawler in Hong Kong.

Cold War Service Medal-2015

On April 28. 2015 Congressman Steve Israel(D NY-3); as he has for the last several years, along with Congressman David Jolly (R-FL 13) and seven other cosponsors introduce H.R. 2067 The Cold War Service Medal Act 2015.
