NAS Chase Field was open from 1943 to 1993. The site was officially opened as a training base for Naval Air Cadets. It was used as one of three satellite airfields for Corpus Christi NAS.

  • NAS CHASE FIELD WAS MY FIRST AND ONLY DUTY STATION. I WAS ON BOARD FROM MAY 1982 - SEPT 1984 AND ASSIGNED TO THE AIMD GSE SHOP.

     NAS Chase Field was my first duty station, I was stationed there from 1987 - 1991 at the Aviation Support Division (ASD). Chase field was one of the best duty stations I had in my career.

  • WHEN I WAS THERE 1960-1961 IT WAS CALLED "NAAS" CHASE FIELD. WAS IN CRASH CREW. WOULD LIKE TO SEE PHOTOS OF LINE SHACK WHERE I SPENT MANY HOURS LOOKING FOR WHELL FIRES ALSO AT NIGHT MAKING SURE THE TRAINIES HAD THEIR WHEELS DOWN IN THE BOONIES
  • I was assigned to VT-25 from Dec. '77 to March '79.  It was my first duty station.  I was part of a great squadron.  I did one det. to the Lexington.  Mark Chambers, AMS2, VT-25
