    I was there from January 1980 to May 1980.Had a great time while there especially since i grew up right across the Delaware river in Jersey,so i went home almost every day.I remember the first phase was self paced so i milked it as long as i could. Went over to the old base a couple of years ago which is no longer a naval base. The Barracks we lived in was boarded up with graffity all over it,and the grass was about 2 feet tall.Very sad sight to see.

    Some great memories going to Advanced Firefighting school while on the USS Coontz.
