AIRBETDIV, NARETU
I transfered to Airbetdiv in 1962 from NAS Lakehurst. Command was redesignated as NARETU and the new school was built. I and Jim Meager and Jim Feeley engineered to have the liquor store put in as part of the CPO Club. I taught at the electronic warfare school and managed the club. Attached to VP-64 from May 1971 to March 1975. During that time period we had civilians attached to our squadron, and one in the AE shop named Harry. Don't recall his last name, but often wonder whatever happened to Harry and the other AE's from that time period. Shop supervisor was Cliff Beardlsy.
Acoustic instructor at ReASWTac '78-80. I was there when it became ResASWTraCen. Section leader for NAS. Enjoyed tha base immensely.
Served in the RESERVE ASW Tactical Training School 1972-76.
Any special memories of the local area from your tour their Michael? We'd love to hear about them.

We were there at the same time. I was there from mid 77 until mid 81. I left Willow Grove and went to South Weymouth, MA. It sure wasn't much of a change sicne they are both so much alike. But I really loved my time in WG. Some great memories for sure. One of my closest friends was with VP-64. You might remember Paul Lancaster. An AW2. He loved it there too and we both ended up in So. Weymouth together too..LOL. That was a blast. It's reallt too bad that WG is closing. That place is LOADED with local history as well as some great military history. I'll have to look into it more and see if i can learn more about it. I was always amazed about the Pitcairn Field history. It's great to hear from you.

Sorry so much for the late response, somehow I didn't even see that it was here. My fault I'm sure. I'm in teh Northwest Arkansas area now about 4 hours from Brandon. That's so great to hear that you've kept up your involvement. I can imagine that you have great times going over old times. It's great to hear from you and I hope I don't miss the next message.
