I found Shell Back vodka
Kevin I remember that only we were single file! Darrell I agree there is a big line from a little humilitation (which is what most of us went thru) those that took the initation past that - went too far. Have some fun but don't over do it!
I went through two iniations in the Navy - Shell Back in 81 and the dredded Chief's Iniation in 83. I would not trade any one of those experiences for any amount of money. That was a bonding with my brothers and sisters that I served with and to this day I am still proud to have served with!!!!!!!!!
First crossing was December of 81, did it three times. I was in the grocery store yesterday and someone has a vodka named Shell Back. Had to be a sailor that came up with this:)

an interesting day.But all Good.
When I worked in sick bay, some poor kid came down saying the bos'n had sent him for a case of clap. I told him he would have to see the supply corpsman in the pharmacy. The pharmacy guy said he couldn't authorize it and sent the kid to the senior chief. The senior chief told him he'd have to wait until we got to Subic.
