  • I became a shellback during the summer of 1985 onboard the USS Aubrey Fitch FFG-34, that summer we transited the Panama Canal and crossed the equator.

    That was quite an experience, one that I will never forget.
  • 1979 USS Oklahoma City CG-5 due south of Singapore.
  • To Deanna: I remeber crossing the equator on the Hector during our trip to Tahiti!!(1978) We krept around the 01 level in our skivies!! There were very few Female Officers on the ship at that time! LOL:-}
  • I crossed on the way to Vietnam. It was a pleasurable memory. It is sad that it is caused "hazen" now. It was all voluntary, just like going into the Navy.
