    I crossed the line 10 August 81 while aboard the USS America at 74 deg. 47.1 min. Imagine the heat in August on the Equator! We got to do payback on the way back. Don't you feel sorry for them? Lots of personal attention! I think we were on our way to Australia for liberty during one of the first I.O. cruises. We also did the ditch on this cruise - twice!

    I crossed the line into the realm of the shell back onboard the Davidson on June 7th, 1980 on our way to Diego Garcia. My only regret is that I never got to do paybacks. :-(
