  • Bill, Glad to see you are still kicking, I knew you would get to this site sometime  and sign up, As long as you were in the Navy you should run across a lot of people you met over the years on here. And I bet they could tell some stories about you just like I could. Ha!
  • Hello Dean,  Just can"t get away from you old boss, PC2 Mitchell while in MCB- 40. Glad to see some postal clerks out here.  We are no more in the Navy.  What do they call our rate now?
  • Was a PC3 with MCB Forty Seabees, went to Puerto Rico (Camp Moscrip), Diego Garcia, and Guam. Made PC2 but needed to extend to put the "crow on" told them no thanks.
  • Proud to say I was a career Postal Clerk. Went to PC "A" school at Fort Ben in March of 1982. I was already a PC striker onboard my ship (USS Suribachi AE-21) for a year when I finally got a slot in "A" school. My division officer sent a radio message to the school command letting me know I had passed the PC3 exam and was officially frocked. That caused a stir at "A" school. But I made some great friends there. It was very difficult to advance in the rate, but in 1995 after 11 tries I made it to PC1 (Only E6 Postal Clerk advanced that year) Made selection board for PCC several times, but was not selected. I now work for the USPS in Riviera Beach, FL.
Just one more comment....... Where are you PCCS H. Field Kellogg, formally of Evanston, IL ????
  • I graduated from the Interservice Postal School at Ft Benjamin Harrison in Indiana in Oct 1978. My first station was Treasure Island San Francisco as the Transiet Postal Clerk. I then went to volunteered for the LaSalle out of the Persian Gulf. My last duty station was the Jesse L Brown FF-1089 out of Charleston SC.

Looking for a friend

I am Timothy House ABH-1 (AW) Ret. I wonder if anyone know Charles Clarke Parker PCC. Does anyone know where I can get in touch with him? I was stationed at VRC-50 with him,  and when he was at the APO NY I was a correction specialist at the Naval BAse Philidelphia. Sure hope I can get in touch with him. Thanks.
