  • I crossed it on the Kennedy CVA67 in 73

  • That shoud have been the DEW line
  •  I crossed the circle twice. The first time was in June 1951 to supply Thule when they were building it. The second time was in 1952 to suppy the due line. I was a QM2 assigned to LSU 852. Seeing all of the other commets makes me feel  like a antique.

  •      U.S.S. BRUMBY (FF-1044)
  • I became a Blue Nose in 1982; onboard the USS Spadefish (SSN-668)
  • I was deployed on the maiden voyage on the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt.  I was in VA-35 and crossed on 13Sep88 at longitude 007 degrees.
  • I crossed the Arctic Circle during the summer of 1987 aboard the USS Aubrey Fitch FFG-34
  • I got my blue nose just above Tromso Norway onboard the USS Jack Williams FFG-24, in 1984.
  • Resupplied the DEW Line aboard USS Catamount in the summer of 1957.
Stopped in the vicinity of Point Barrow near an abandoned Eskimo village for a little R@R, which actually wasn't anything but a beer bust.
Dodging ice floes, sailing on ocean water that resembled glass, and midnight sun, made the cold almost bareble, but no Northern Lights.
  • My nose turned blue on the Minneapolis St Paul SSN-708. It was in 1997 on the way to going on station, doing what Sonarmen do.
