The USS Savannah (AOR-4), a US Navy Wichita-class replenishment oiler, was commissioned October 28, 1970 and decommissioned July 28, 1995.

    Kevin, it seems the Savannah facebook page has a privacy problem.  As a condition to see it, it requires disclosure of friends and other information.  Not that I have anything to hide, but as a matter of principle I view that sort of intrusion with disgust.

    Reported aboard when in dry dock in 1977 left in 1979

    She was my first ship 1975-1979 left her as BT2,retired in 1995 as BTC(SW)
