Come on in Shipmates. Have a seat in the First Class Lounge. We'll play a little Acey-Deuce and swap sea stories. As always, you have front of the line previleges on the Mess Decks.

  • As I have professed. Most of the time it was the firsts's kissing the asses of the cpo mess. Occasionally there were a few that were sincere in their efforts.
  • I had red hashmarks Thomas. You don't need gold to belong to the First Class Mess. As I said I was never political and never kissed anyones ass. This is the First Class mess for all First Class Petty Officers not just the ones with gold on their sleeve.
  • I retired in 2006 after a career jumping out of perfectly good Navy Helos as a rescue swimmer. Was recently looking at some photos of one of our Olongapo stops. MMMM Oh what it would be like to be 21 again.
  • I retired in 93, as a RM1 (SW). Is it ok for someone to join who had red has marks his whole career? I seemed to go to captain's mast about every 4 years. I loved playing acey duece when I was in. My first command was Navcommsta San MIguel, and my last command was the USS Durham (LKA-114).
  • Then my friends you were on a good boat! All i can say is GOD BLESS YOU and what you did. I expressed my experience.
  • I too was proud to be a member of the First Class Association. I retired as an MS1 in 1997. I was never very political and never kissed anyones ass !
  • I was very proud to be a part of the first class organization, and I retired as an SK1(SW) in Aug 30, 2002
  • the "first class mess" is and was a farce. Kissssss asss.
  • when i became a first class and retired as such i found that you all were so much more of kiss ass bastards than most chiefs. I left with my selfrespect inact. A first promoted to a chief in most respects became a total dickhead. When I started as an E1 I told myself i would not be the total dick that my LPO was. I succeeded.
  • I was a member of the First Class Mess & Plankowner on board the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN-69. From 1977 to 1981 when I departed. IKE was a fine ship. It was also a long 4 years I spent on board & quite an experience. I had some good shipmates & some good memories down in the armory.
