  • RMC - Served from Precom at Todd Shipyard till  June 62 on the gun line.  Great crew and smooth ship.

  • Served on Whipple from 82 - 87, OSSA to OS2

  • Served on Whipple from 1986-1991. I was part of E-Div as a IC2. I had a good time. Served with some outstanding sailors. I only made one deployment while onboard. Things were different back then. We didn't have computers to send e-mails or sailors phones to call home. We depended on the US Postal Service. We were in P & S duty sections. Today the min. is 6 sections. They call it quality of life.

  • I was a OSSN then OS3 the Whipple from 74-75 Crossed the line on a great westpac deployment. Met alot of good guys and loved the ship I then got transferred to the USS Enterprise and honorably discharged as an OS2 in 77. I liked the smaller ship better a much tighter crew. Great memories.
