Must BE true comes from our leader.... a true american...........Bull Crap.
When I first became a ward corpsman at Bethesda in 1957, not only did we place tape on the glass IV bottles, we also counted the drops per minute to estimate administration rates. Those were the days.
Hey, brother corpsmen,,,,,, don't you know we are CORPSEmen........................

I am a rare member. I served with Naval Air, FMF and Submarine Duty. Have to say that my IDT tours were the most rewarding.
I was stationed at the dispensary in NAS Oceana from 1970-1973.Would love to find fellow corpsman...Also did a little time on the orthopedic ward at Portsmouth Naval Hosp..Early 70
I also remember the masking tape on the bottles...
I was stationed at San diego Naval Hospital in 1967-1968. All the IV Bottles were glass and it was common practice to put Masking Tape on the bottles marked for proper drainage.
Does anybody remember when iv bottles were made of glass and the nurses would put brown masking tape on the sides with lines drawn for the correct drainage time and amount?
Any Naval Hospital Beaufort South Carolina from the early 70`s out there? I sure would like to hear from you.
I am looking for a fellow corpman named Larry Petersen who was from Terra Hutte Indiana. He was stationed with me at Beaufort Naval Hospital in South Carolina.
