  • Hey Dave, I was on board from 74 to 77. I was the cook that ran the coppers in the gally. Do you remember Randy Sowards he worked with you at that time. He and I are from the same place.
  • was aboard the YOYO from January of 1973 until August of 1975. On another navy site I am ships administrator for the USS Yosemite AD-19. I was below the mess decks in the torpedo shop. Have found Yosemite shipmates. Went to the Med on the Busy Lady in 1974.

  • Al, What happened to Jeff Horsfall?
  • Joe, We did have some great times on her. I still keep in contact with Gary Moberg, Tracy Dronet, Mark Kane, Dewey Seagraves and a few other folks. Unfortunatly I had to attend Jeff Horsfall's funeral a while back. Oh Yea, a lot of TLC & a few Hail Marys to keep her running.
  • Came aboard the Lady at Newport, RI, the later part of '68 .. ran the prosthetic lab, dental spaces, with a fellow DT2P, Mike Greco .. was in the Med anchored in Malta when our astronauts returned from the moon mission .. rehomeported Mayport, FL in '70 .. last saluted the ensign in July of that year .. She was a good duty station ..
  • Al, I still have one of those yo-yo's, however still waiting for my one "Good Deal" LOL. As with all ships the crew is what makes her great and the Yosemite had an outstanding crew while you and I were there. It took a lot of TLC to keep her running but there were a lot of good times on her.
  • Was on the Ol'Girl 1990-93. I made Chief on her as well in 92. Lots of good memories state side & abroad. And I can't forget those damn wooden Yo-Yos we had to make. "Good for 1 Good Deal"
