    Retired Navy Signalman August 2002

    Currently reside in Lubbock Texas (to be near my parents)

    From Houston Texas joined the United States Navy 01/24/1991-01/23/1999 serviced on board USS Orion A-18 and the USS Carron DD-970.

     Enlisted in Austin June 1968 went to NTC San Diego, Ca., HCS Balboa Hospital San Diego, Ca., FMSS Camp Pendleton, Ca. 1st Duty Station Parris Island MCRD Dispensary, S.C. 2nd Duty Station Vietnam 1st MarDiv 1/7 C Co. Last Duty Station NAS Hospital Albany, Ga. Released from active duty June 1972. Was a Letter Carrier for the USPS from Nov. 1973- Jan 2011.Am now retired and enjoying life.

    Joined reserves in 54 in El Paso, went on active duty for couple of years in 55.  Served aboard a light cruiser (Roanoke) as YN.  Great duty.  Two WestPac cruises.  Light most who were in the navy, at least at that time, recognized that navy or any type of military life wasn't for me.  Have lived in Houston since 65.

    Joined in Abilene 1971. From Winters, now live in Lubbock. 2 years inactive 75-77. Second discharge was 1980. Was an AMS-2.

    SEEMED LIKE THE 4 YRS OF DUTY LASTED FOREVER. WAS SITTING HERE DRINKING CUP OF COFFEE THINKING ABOUT THE 42 YEARS SINCE I JOINED UP. IT WENT SO FAST.

    JOINED UP IN JAN 69 -DEC72. BOOT CAMP SAN DEIGO, SCHOOL IN NATTC MEMPHIS, OVERSEAS FOR 2 YEARS, THEN AIRCRAFT CARRIER FOR 2 YEARS. PROUD TO BE A TEXAS NAVY VET

    Joined the Navy in Dallas on Oct. 29, 1975, went to boot in Orlando, FL. Served on the USS Bagley from 76-79 and got out in San Diego, CA.
    Also was a reserve MAA/NCIS in Dallas and Key West from 1991 to 1995
