  • I served with the Blue Blaster between June 1980 to May 83, During that time I made three cruises with VA-34. One Med cruise, one Med/Indian ocean, which I was lucky to become a Shellback. The last cruise was a 2 month to the United Kingdom (porta calls in Portsmouth, England and Edinburgh, Scotland). The A6 might not have been the coolest looking aircraft, but it could sure carry a mean load of ordnance. Which as an AO was back breaking at times. I have some of the greatest memories while in the Navy, thankful to see a lot of the world.3439445960?profile=original
