    went to HM school from May to Sept 1970. Had a classmate I met in boot that lived in Arlington.  gave us a chance to get away once in a while.

    HM2 (Osuzik)-Rayman here!

    Went to HM school here in 1988 - grad in the fall.  Remember taking train down to city where I grew up in Chicago, and showed classmates around the city!  Very good memories.

    Hello from SC.  I went HM a school in  the summer  of 59, It didn.'t look like the picture you have.  /we were across the bridge from the Naval Hosp.  Went to A school as a SA and left as a HR, don't get caught drinking in  the barracks.   Ken MCDOWELL  HMC USN RET

    Gloria Villicana, Mark Shannon.

    There are times I wish I had stayed active, but I did alot on the civilian side also.  Worked with a couple of tech colleges helping with EMS education and also helped with a volunteer K-9 SAR team, WI Medical Reserve Corps, and the WI Disaster Response Team.  Had to stop all of it when I had my third spinal surgery, too many bad lifts working the ambulance.

    I had 12 good years in the Reserves before I had to get out because of the diabetes, most of my two week duties were in GLAKES, but we did go to Bethesda, New Orleans, Camp Pendleton, and I spent time on the LST USS Boulder on a Great Lakes Cruise.

    I am excited about my son Eric.  I knew for the last few years he wanted to go into the military, initially it was going to be the Caost Guard.  But like teenagers do he changed his mind and wants to be a corpsman with the marines.  His ASVAB score was high, so they were trying to get him to go Nuke, but he's sticking to HM.  I wanted him to go to college first and get a degree and go in as an officer but he wants to work up to that.  He says he's going to retire out of military and become a high school history teacher.  My daughter is getting into psychology and criminal justice, wants to be a forensic psychologist.  Met my wife Rachel at the first hospital I worked at as a Paramedic, she was a X-ray tech then, still works there but works full-time CT now.  My wife also worked the K-9 SAR team, she ran the dogs we had and I worked as liaison between team and law enforcement and ran the base trailer/communications/medical.  We had our successes, a couple of high-profile murders where we had to find the bodies, and in one case what was left of the bodies.

    Even with all that's happened in your life you sound happy and proud of your kids.  Hope all works for you now.  GA was a pretty state to drive through, but I was happy to get back to WI weather though.  I like snow.

    I know Dean Hager married another classmate-Gloria...last name (maiden) escapes me. They were in Jacksonville when I got there from Bethesda in 1976ish. Gloria worked in Family Practice at the NH. I ran into her 'cause I was pregnant at the time & a patient of FP. I always wondered what happened to Ken Peterson-we were stationed in Bethesda together. Several of us were in Bethesda: Me, Ken, Helene, Donna Bickerstaff, Mark ?, Chris Powell. I was only there a year, got married & was stationed with my hubby in Jacksonville. His ship was in drydock there. He got out on small disability. I finished out my first enlistment, got out for a year & half, had two kids then went back in when I figured my marriage wasn't going to work. Single mom for 6 yrs, married a guy from back home, together almost 18 years, then divorced. Now in GA, living with another Navy retiree I knew in VP-49 (AD1, Flight Engineer)  My kids are grown, daughter in school, for early childhood ed, son works for a tannery & goes to school for mechanics. I guess you're excited your son is going in HM...That's cool. I went to AVT (Aerospace Med Tech) school in 1982, so I was working with the airdales. Mostly ran physical exams, etc. I made HMC in 1993 then retired in 1996. Do you miss it? I do sometimes, but so much has changed, don't know if I could stand it.

    Retired after 35 years in WI EMS and 16 years in USN/USNR.  Medically released as HM1 from USNR, IDDM.  Went to Orlando after HM-A school and released on 19JAN79.  Came back to WI for school and work.  Activated for Desert Shield/Storm back at GLAKES for 3 1/2 months and was a Reserve Recruiter for a year.  At HM-A school I hung around with Dean (went to bootcamp with him) and Ken Peterson most of the time, unfortunately lost touch with both, and up to Milwaukee to see friends/realtives.  Married 16+ yrs, daughter in college and son going USN/HM in July.

    How about you?
