I am sure Navy Veteran's originally from Pennsylvania are now living throughout the USA. Pennsylvania would be their home of record at time of entry into the US Navy.

  • Eric; Did you Go to Norwin?
  • I haven't been in that area for may years. My wife had family that lived there just off the TP. He was a real estate attorney. I worked for a company in N. Miami and serviced Quotron Computers for stock market trading as a field service engineer (1981).
  • Pembroke Pines
  • We are you in South Florida Eric?
  • I grew up in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, where I enlisted. Home has been S FL for the past 20+ years. Had a chance to visit the 'Burgh for the first time in a long time recently. Wow.
  • I was born and raised in West Chester, PA. very close to Philadelphia, and Valley Forge. I enjoy returning to visit mom and my sisters and their children over the year. However, my wife and her family are from a very small town east of Atlanta called Madison, GA. I have lived in Georgia for 30 years. Almost twice as many years growing up in PA. The in-laws and all the family still joke with me about being the Philly Yankee. I still like scrapple and visiting Pennsylvania Dutch Country.
  • I Have an SUV here in Va Beach with the License Plate STLIRZ and a ton of Steelers' decals. I can't tell you how often folks pull up to me at traffic lights or even in traffic for that matter just to find out where I'm from. I've been in over 50 countries and I think the Burgh is the friendliest place on earth. Keep in mind I haven't been to North Korea but I'd rate France last.
  • Originally from North Versailles but living in Arona now.
  • I was born and raised in Huntingdon county and after retiring from the Navy in 96. Decided to move back to my roots.

Guantanamo Bay

Yes, I am a Pennsylvania vet.  I probably haven't got as involved as I should.  I would love to be in contact with guys who I served with, especially in Guantanamo Bay 1960-62.  However, I had a lot of friends in Norfolk at NAS in 1958-60. It would be great if we could all hook up with our buddies from times in the past.  If any of you folks were in Guantanamo Bay please join our Association at www.gitmobay.org.  Have a great year.
