VC-1 from aug 68 to aug 72. A-4 and S2 pc. Went to airframe shop, jan 69. I remember P-2 trips. Were you on board when she belly rolled. Beachcraft retirement? Arrived as AN and left as AMS2. Everyone knew me as "moose".....enjoyed your comments
Just happen to find this site while playing around today. Was with VC1 during 72 - 75 as a recip & jet engine mechanic. Flew crew with the H34, H3, TA4, S2, and the best of all, the P2 Neptune (nice nose dome). Ya still gotta love the sound of a radial engine. Played on many a drone and target missions including over in Kaui. Still have a junk of the propeller that lodged in my seat from an ?incident? with one of the S2s. After 28 years I made it back to Barbers Point in 2003 and was blown away at the base change but delighted to see the UND name (home town) on the hanger and some of the aircraft still there.
