  • I am originally from Claude, Tx (just outside Amarillo) joined the Navy '68, served for 22+ yrs. Spent time on both coasts. When I retired we moved up by Great Lakes where I worked for 15 yrs, then had to retire again. In '05 we moved to southern ILL where the living is easier & less expensive. So, I am a transplanted Illinoisan. It's a good life. Guess I've lived here for longer than I did growing up in Texas, so that must make me an honest-to-god ILLINOISAN! Ha! who'd a thunk it. I like it here. To all my fellowshipmates, it has been an honor to serve with you. Have a Great New Year!
