I wasborn in San Diego on base (parents are Navy vets) raised in Fox Lake/Ingleside, Il area since the age of 6 months. I have lived there all my life until 2004 when I moved to Texas with Husband who is from Galveston, Texas. I went to Great Lakes for Boot Camp in Sept 1997 - Dec 1997. I left service in July 2001...live in Dickinson, Texas right now.
I'm tranplant also, my husband who is also a Navy vet from Hennepin, IL got me to move here before I retired. Now we live in La Salle, which is perfect for me going to school and him being on the road.
Born and raised in Rockford/Davis Junction/Stillman Valley , IL. Joined the Navy in Rockford in April 1980, processed out at AFEES in Chicago. Retired from the Navy on 1 Jun 2002 and now live in Greenacres, FL

I was born in Libertyville, raised in Mundelein and lived in Lake county till about 1981. Would like to come home to Lake county if I could find a job around there.
Joined in Chicago on the 120 day delay program April 1970. I went on active duty Sept. 1970. RTC Great Lakes Co 345. Graduated in Dec. Went down to NATTC Millington and checked in. Spent holiday's at home. Attended "A Fun P" school and "AMS A" school. Asssigned to Helsupron 3 at NAS Imperial Beach, Ca. Sent on detachment to USS Kilauea AE-26 and USS Camden AOE-2 off Vietnam coast till Apr. '72.
Came back to Ca. and was sent out again onboard USS Flint AE-32. We flew our copters from San Diego to San Francisco to board the ship and sail across the Pacific.(21 days) We transfered to the USS Niagara Falls AFS-3 for about a month during the Flint's mid-cruise upkeep. Back to the Flint till May '73. Back to NAS North Island, CA. Was discharged Aug. 1974.
