  • Anyone remember the dude in teh POST OFFICE...around 1980 or so..that was taking MONEY ORDER monies...and when teh SWABBIE mailed his MO ...this slug would steal the letter and MO -- Tear it up .. and steal the money.. His butt was caught -- and he went away ... in cuffs.... I was MASTER AT ARMS...and did not get to enjoy catching him... He got me for 450 bucks... The FEDS got him - or I'd have busted his arm.... Hope he did a LONG time..... ALL the best  to ALL.....

  • Here is some REAL USS PRAIRIE HISTORY..
At the time - her CO was Captain Archambault - Her XO was CDR Peter CISEK.. NO ONE liked CISEK..he was a dork in my book as well...
He tried to open his huge - heavy brass Porthole..and fell - busting his arm.. He lay on the deck calling for help..no one wanted to look in on him..
Someone did..and he was hauled off to MEDICAL...
THEN...he wanted that huge PORTHOLE removed and replaced with a lighter one..which they did.. BUT -- he had the huge BRASS one all cleaned and polished - to give to some dignitary...I saw it on deck...outside his stateroom...and placed it in an AMMO Locker that was out there on deck...
He had the entire ship - closed up tight and searched.. Since I was CMAA .. I had to chuckle... No one was allowed in AMMO LOCKERS...and - since I also ran the ARMS ROOM.... I had the keys...
A few weeks later.. I put it in a SEABAG and walked off the Ship with it about 1980 or so..... STILL have it !!!! CISEK.... tough stuff..... YOU did not seserve it..nor did your "dignitary".... It belonged to a Sailor -- who spent many - many years at sea....and had to put up with yoyo's like you !!! See you at the final QUARTERS............!!

Politics

I am a political junkie. The years that I served aboard Prairie, we had probably the worst President ever but now I am not sure about that. We may have a tie with Carter and Obama. I just hate the way Obama is acting in office. He is playing the Chicago Style politcal games without the baseball bat. If you don't like someone or something that someone has done, you just smash them down. Case in point is the Medical products manufacturers. They didn't go along with the socialized medicene that…
