    I was there in 1990-91, at the NMCB detachment, did alot of weight lifting, drinking, and video games to pass the time away.

    i was attached to COM17 NAVAL DISTRICT from Oct 1960-Nov1962. flew as air creww inthe R5d and the R4d, plus the hu-1 sea plane. great place..still remember the Adak National Forest there..

    Was stationed at NAVFAC ADAK from Sep 65 to Sep 66 as an RM3. It was a little isolated, but I had a good time anyway. Played a lot of poker and pool.
