  • Passed through RTC, San Diego July through September 1966 in Company 399.

  • Mele Kalikimaka to all our shipmates.

  • Merry Christmas to all my Shipmates!

  • I don't know when they went back to the old style uniforms but, I had to wear those new ones in 1977. The first thing I did when I got to "A" school in Great Lakes, Ill., was to buy myself some real ones. Needless to say when I got to the Tincan I was on"USS Manley DD940", we all wore coveralls down in the hole, afterall we were Snipes and stayed kinda "Greasy" all the time.

  • I was a member of Compan 153 Div 7, MM1 DeJesus was our cc. We graduated on 31 Aug 84, boy was it hot that summer!
  • Someone on facebook made the comment that "except for the uniforms" the place looked the same in the 80's! When I went into RTC in 72 we had to wear those "new" and supposedly experimental new utilities. Those stupid pull over shirts and work pants separated us from the previous and subsequent companies. Then on top of that, they never seemed to have enough of them. Some of us wore the "ugly" ball caps and some had their dixie cups! Some of us that were shorted on our issues had to wear our whites. Notice the variety in this photo of our company from the "Anchor"! What a mess! Does anyone know when they went back to the chambray shirts and dungarees?

  • Nice pictures of the old bridge from 1972.-----> Thanks Jim!!!
  • Remember the bridge well, back in 66 we were marching and a car hit the company in front of us. We all thought several died, but it turned out that no one died. I was in Co 402, and it was Co 401. Never forget that.
  • Hello Larry...yes, Company 005 was right behind us at Bootcamp. Have you had any contact with any of your recruits in Company 005?
  • Oh my company was Co 211
