My name is Phil Mercuri. I was assigned to company 130 and was Squad Leader #4. Is there anyone out there who was part of my company. Our Flag Bearer's name was Hillary Wong. Unfortunately, I do not remember anyone else. Though I do believe there was on other individual named Ace Goodman. I could be wrong.

Thankfully, ours is a "motor" whaleboat! My arms couldn't handle the oars anymore anyway!
I'll bet they were a good lesson in working together! You all do have to row in the same direction and in sync to get anywhere! No wonder these days there seems to be so many children in the military! No more traditions to learn from!
My company 347 hit the deck in June 67 and we didn't "man the boats". Too bad as I'm sure it would have been hilarious with my company. All "Texans" and most had never even seen the ocean, much less a multi-oared rowboat.
