Transfered to VT-23 in July of 1975, & Left in July of 1978. Worked in Powerplants, but the last year worked in Line Support with the Troubleshooters. We had two Step-Vans we worked out of, to help departing Planes with Non-Safety of Flight issues. One Step-Van was new, and we painted "Swat" on the side of it (we did get into trouble for that). That team was made up of one skilled Technician from each Work Center, and we all pitched in to help fix problems found by Pilots, prior to Take-Off. There was never a boring day, each day had exciting challenges. I worked with a great team of Sailors & loved it!

I was stationed at NAS Kingsville from Jan 1975 to Jan 1977. Air Traffic Control. Lived in the barracks. Had a blast!
