  I was there with MCB-4 from Oct. 73 till July 74 and didn't look anything like this. we lived in sea huts we had gotten the main power plant going so we had island power. our movie theater was out doors we showed the movie on the side of what was to be the new chow hall. Beer and soda was .25 each and a mixed drink was .50. No women on the island but we did get R and R up in Thailand for six days.

  When USS Constellation was in Gonzo station for 110 days, a record for Navy surface ships, a group of us BM"s went there to help load cases of beer, which every crew member got two (2)..Here i am with my buddy "Shorty" enjoying those two beers, drank thru a straw for MAXIMUM effect!

  i no, just shaped like a foot a small island, when i was there, 2 hrs to go around the whole island*

  I was there in 80 and 81, it din't look like that at all, but we had fun out there.
